Singing bowls have been used in religious and Shamanie practices for well over 1500 years. They have been associated with Tibetane and Buuddism since the eight century.

A bowl is played by restibg the bowl on the flat hand and rotating the stick around the outside of the bowl. Creating a hum which is the essence of the bowl. The natural and harmonious sound emitted by the singing bowl is used to invoke a state of deep relaxation which assists meditation

Singing bowls are used in Holistic healing,Chakra and sound therapy. They are also found in Reiki,Feng Shui. They are even used as musical instruments.
